I think they are great. They got me into metal.... My Own Summer was the first metal song I liked together with Du Hast from Rammstein. Thank you The Matrix OST biggrin.gif

i love that group.
if i form a band that's the kind of stuff id love to play, along with progressive metal.
awesome mix, uber heavy guitars with searing complex solos.

i was a huge deftones fan back in high school. loved around the fur and white pony. kinda lost interest in them after that album though. I loved how the deftones had such a heavy sound but the singer always sounded kinda laid back.

I must agree with the most here. Around the Fur and Adrenaline are very good albums. I loved listening to them when they where new... A lot of bands came up at the time like Limp Bizket, Korn and a lot more of the same kind of bands.

I liked 2 bands at that time that where unique: Deftones and Incubus. But I lost my interest after the second album of Deftones.

Did anyone hear the latest song? I'm loving the 8-string riffing. Traditional Deftones sound, agressive yet laid-back.

Opeth.db last I read he was in a "minimally conscious" state. He is still being treated.

Here is a fund raising/update site that was set up for him and I believe they are doing regular updates on the Deftones website as well.
