When learning that piece... should the (obvious part) get sweeped or picked? I've seen people do both, but the pattern lends itself perfectly for sweepys! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK344h0wnDY&NR=1 I believe, when I masterd this piece, my technique should have improved alot! I guess most of the people are playing those first 5 arpeggios by using sweeping.
It's personal preference tho, do it how you like it. -------------------- Youtube

Sweeping the arpeggios would seem like a logical thing to do, so why not do it like that!

Both is possible and actually it would be perfect if you could play it with both techniques, like this you can choose what you want it to sound like.
