Hmm,would like to tell but I don't know
what is 5th measure of 3rd beat
cause measure and beat are the same most of the time.

Ehr. I think it is the 3rd beat in the fifth measure, that Monte is talking about. The legato run consisting of seventuplets and sixtuplets. To my reckoning it is easily translated into: "7 notes in time of 4" and 6 notes in time of four (that being 32nd notes).
Without knowing 100 % I'm not sure if this is to be completely exact or more of a "I know I have to compress x notes into 7 beats"-ish? Muris can probably answer that more correctly.

Now we're talking!
Ok,similar idea as with first bar, picking section.
The whole thing is about fingering and pattern,
they are kings,not timing.
So if I play same section once again
it'll probably be not 100% the same, timing wise.
That kind of approach is often seen in Satch's solos,
he plays a pattern without thinking of timing too much,
that's why it's very hard to tab and leads to confusion sometimes.
But once you get the pattern under you fingers
you'll see that timing isn't crucial here,
crucial is to execute the whole section in a flow.

Anytime.
I tried to explain it in a text and video, sorry if I failed.
Posted by: Caelumamittendum Dec 1 2008, 01:16 PM
Don't think you failed.
I think things as these come somewhat unnatural to most guitarist (myself included at times) that not all is supposed to played 100% "correctly" - meaning that a 9-tuplet run followed by a 13-tuplet run etc...is often more of a feeling than exact playing. Am I right here?
Posted by: Muris Varajic Dec 1 2008, 01:49 PM
Just like that,it's all about feel how you gonna execute that part,
timing really varies, can be done in many ways.

You mean the part right after Hybrid,D and G strings only, ascending lick ala Gilbert?
