Hey.
I wrote this solo for my technical metal band, for a song that I've written named fragile.

First of all, I'd really like some critic on it, what's good and what should be changed or replaced. Please bring your own ideas if you want tongue.gif And for bar 28 I just had no idea what to do, so please help me out there rolleyes.gif

Then I'd also be very happy if someone could help me with how I possibly could play bar 21. Now I do like this, but maybe there is a better way to do it:
-22------20--------18/-17-------17/-15-------15/-13---------------
------20---------------------15-----------13------------11--10-----
----------------19-----------------------------------------------------

4------4---4----3---2--(2)---1----3--(3)--1----3--(3)--1----1

4 = pinky, 3 = ring finger etc.

*edit* The bass track is horrible, help with making a decent backing would be wonderful!

Provided the solo for now in GP5 and GP4 format smile.gif
Enjoy and thanks!
Kim

Could you be more specific? I really want to make a good sounding solo so tell me what you thought sounded a bit "missed out" please smile.gif

Hey man.

Great stuff, I like it very much. I feel that the solo definately has a "tech metal" feel to it. That said, I miss one or maybe two other instrument tracks.

Good solo, if you're not too happy with the backing i would put a synth in to add some more depth.

I just heard it again, and it sound ok,must be my comp, couse when I played it in GP some of the notes he would not play.
If you can make the backing to record your guitar over it,I could do it for you. That way you will haw a better picture of your melody.Just let me know.smile.gif

I liked it smile.gif Thought it was nicely arranged with suitable notes.
Hopefully you'll post a real version of it here sometime soon.

It doesn't matter how much time you spend if you don't know the correct things to do, and the correct way of doing those things. Fifteen minutes of correct practice will do you more good, than 5 hours of incorrect, unintelligent practice. Bad practice just makes you better at playing badly!
