GMC Forum _ Marcus Lavendell _ Backing Tracks Question

Posted by: OzRob Sep 28 2008, 08:31 AM

Hi Marcus,

First, I'm new here and I've been really enjoying your lessons in particular as I'm naturally inclined towards the neoclassical genre. You're a fantastic player. Good on you and keep rocking out!

Second, maybe I'm missing something obvious but....

In the neo-classical three level lesson I can hear the backing track play ok and I can download and view the Guitar Pro tab for the lead part, but I cannot find how to download the backing track for Guitar Pro. Is that possible?

I would love to access it so I can try different timings (apart from the three you have), and so I can transpose it up half a step and play along in standard tuning.

Thanks for your great lessons.

Rob.

Thank you Rob, and welcome to the site! smile.gif

Sorry, but the Guitar Pro file is only for the lead guitar. So there's no file with the backing.
The chords are very very simple though, it's just E and F repeated over and over (and the final chord at the end is Am), if you want to add it in Guitar Pro.

Thanks for the chords Marcus. I look forward to working through all your lessons. I'm already improving after only 2 or 3 days! Good stuff.

If I may add something?
How about you learn the gp tab, then jam it to a real backing? gives alot better feel to the piece.
