Today we have an amazing lesson by Ramiro covering Steve Vai's tapping in "Building The Chrurch", so...

i think steve vai is probably the best guitar player in the world.. but i like Joe better, in my opinion he has more tone, feel and he's a better songwritter

Shouldn't it be Steve Vai instead of Joe Vai?
 My vote is for Satriani. He is the true master of the Force, like Yoda If there wouldn't be for him, there wouldn't be Vai or Hammett. My very first inspiration in becomming a solo guitarist was Satriani. Yes, definitely Joe Vai wins all.

Both are awesome, my vote is for Vai though

...for tone, groove, note placement, melody and writing. IMO "The Extremist" the best inst guitar album ever.|

Well, not sure who is better, they are way different. I probably enjoy in more Satriani's songs than Vai's, but that doesn't mean one is better over another. Satriani also has a nice tone for me.
