Kris man! what's up??

I'm just wondering what exact guitar your Strat is. I know It's fender, but is it American made? It's beautiful, I love the color, what is the color called? Sienna sunburst? I want to purchase it, but before I do, I want to know exactly what it is so I can go pick one up. I don't know my Fenders very well, but I'm assuming it's a Fender American Strat but I don't know the color, and thats what I really want to know. If you could get back to me, that'd be great! It'd be an honor to get a reply from you, actually. To be honest, I'd do just about anything to have a quick conversation over email/IM with you about guitar, method, skill, where I'm at, gear, etc. I am a huge fan, and have been for a very long time. I know you obviously don't have the time for that, but I love the lessons and I love the site so keep it up and rock on!

PS: What pedal/effects do you use in your lessons? I can never get a tone like yours. Also, what pickups do you have in it?

Thanks for your kind words

Yes I am quite sure it is a Sienna sunburst, the guitar is a fender american deluxe stratocaster "50th anniversary". I haven't changed anything on it the pickups are what comes with!

The guitar sounds and feels like a dream - and after I scalloped it I cannot think of anything I would want to change on it!

I use a peavey triple X amp with no additional pedals (sometimes a wah wah pedal) - I would like to buy some pedals but I haven't really gotten to that yet! So I use what's inside the amp - a digital delay and distortion.

i tried to search for your guitar on websites and still cant find it . I love the sick body and the awesome headstock but all i find is a standard strat american deluxe

I am thinking of having the neck scalloped myself but I wanted to find out your experience with having it done. Since you have the same guitar your feedback would be crucial to me.

Are you happier with it now than you were before, and how deep of a scallop did you get? I am wanting to play a more controlled vibrato and I love the necks on these model strats. I'm trying to figure out what to do next.

It's a completely new guitar to me - it went from being an awesome sounding guitar, to just an awesome guitar.

Before scalloping I really had problems with bedning, vibrato and legato - because of the low frets.

The only downside was that I discovered that the repairman broke a little piece of the nut - so each time I bend on the g string i get an annoying sound - so I should probably do something about that

I asked for a medium scallop.

Thanks Kris. I was wondering about the nut. I was thinking of a getting mine replaced with a graphite one because I use the tremelo a lot. I'll let you know how it goes.
