this literally blew me away!

It just goes to show how great a composer Beethoven was. 6 minutes where everything makes sense

Awesome version of this fantastic piece of music. I'm impressed of his tapping technique.

Very well done smile.gif The good news is, for anyone wanting to learn this type of thing, most of the individual licks he is playing are well within reach of most of the players I'm come across here @ GMC. So you guys are all much closer to being able to play this than you think!

This past weekend during video chat, we worked our way up to playing a lick that sounds almost like an etude, that is built (like most licks) from wads of simple bits arranged in a clever way. Once we learned the small bits, the whole thing came together and the class blew themselves away smile.gif Here is the link to it it's Part C http://bit.ly/gmclesson87This video is another good example. It's not non stop shred/speed/crazy, mostly it's licks that folks can actually play done quite well. So let this video be a motivator! Not a de motivator wink.gif

Very good point from Todd ! I would say this video is highly motivational. Remember that the key to attaining any level at something is all down to how you practice it. You can take any piece of music and 'make it easy' by breaking it down to smaller sections and playing it slow enough so that you can go through it without making a mistake.

What if someone told you that you could take your favourite, difficult piece of guitar music and make it easy ? Would you do it ? What's stopping you ?

Practicing correctly it the easy part.. it's keeping it up every day that is the hard part smile.gif Just approach each individual day as it comes and don't carry the burden of your end goal on your shoulders and then it won't seem like such a mammoth task smile.gif
