What's your favorite album cover?



I've always liked Burzum and Darkthrone's cover designs:


Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
(It's a painting by Theodor Kittelsen btw, Varg have used his paintings many times on covers and other things)

Thats a tuff one.One that comes to my head is Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction .I think the cover just looks cool with the boney dude standing there

For real pictures of bands, i think the best picture I've ever seen on an album is bruce springsteen's born to run. He just looks cool It's a great picture...

I can't say I like any of the other album covers posted. Pink Floyd the one with burning man, i dont like as a cover, but it is an interesting picture.

The artist formally known as Cat Stevens. Actually I heard an hour long interview of him on NPR, just a regular guy, very likable. I think he made headlines for getting pulled off a plane as a terrorist suspect (by error).

He was an art student, did his own album covers, so he gets points for that.

The best artwork is one where it is instant that you know what the album is so Nirvana - Nevermind. Plus Nirvana are my favourite band
