It's shockingly simple to get good tone from your amp
 1.)Get a SHURE SM57 2.)jam it in the cone of one speaker on you cab 3.)Use a decent preamp or even a plugin verison of a decent preamp. 4.)Turn it UPKK!!! Or turn up the volume on the plugin version. BAM !!! Yeah I have an SM57 and did have a tube mic preamp, used to record a lot with it, had to run 95db to get a decent signal. Might try again soon. Mertay and you helped me a lot if you remember.
