a) that guy is awesome.
cool.gif is he strumming from about :45 to :55 into the video?
c) can you tab out that whole bit and post it for me? wink.gif

Note to Bogdan: I'm having so much fun playing bass. I'm a guitar player, but our bass player in our band has been missing on and off over the summer so I've been filling in for him. So much fun to play bass on stage, maybe even more fun than guitar.

Edited to add: My question is how do you do that style of playing/strumming?

Hello!
I'm really glad that you are enjoying playing bass..Yeah on stage its just awesome to play and hear the thunder you are making on PA systems smile.gif

Here is my lesson on strumming on bass (https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-lessons/strumming-power-chords-lesson/)...Its basically all about muting the unwanted strings and its same as strumming on guitar , its the same strumming he does except that he is combining slapping , tapping and strumming into one motion which is pretty difficult to do at start smile.gif Its a regular downward or upward strumming while holding some intervals with your left hand...
I can't go into tabbing that out , but I suggest trying to play a simple slap pattern and inserting strummed parts (while holding root and major 3rd interval or similar)...

Cheers mate smile.gif

Also listen and find a tab and video for My Name Is Mud by Primus. That does a similar style bass line.
