hehehe Cosmin's answer is the best one that you can receive about this! Teach those children to play those 4 chords and show how many songs they will be able to play. It's like magic.

These are some songs that bode will on an accoustic ~ Blue on Black - Kenny Wayne Shepherd is an easy and nice sounding chord progression - the solo will kick your butt though, but works around a campfire without the solo on an accoustic. Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams - also good - strumming pattern can be a little difficult to pull off while singing, but practice and it works. right after the bridge is a piano part that defines the song - can be picked with practice (D & A). The Break Up Song - Gregh Kinh Rockin' in the Free World - it's a pretty fun one to play and sing - Live Forever ~ oasis - solo's hard on an accoustic, but you can come up with an alternate or none at all. What I like about you - the Romantics for some upbeat stuff Blood and Roses - the Smithereens (well, actually this one has an extended solo.. so maybe not. but get a bongo player and you're golden ) This post has been edited by SirJamsalot: Oct 27 2014, 07:36 PM -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!

Hey Oscar, You have to be patient with them and make the good music seem like a warm and fun thing for them They aren't as hopeless as they may seem, although the environment in which they evolve and grow, has a lot of impact on them. How many do you work with and what sort of social environment are they coming from? Hi Cosmin, yeah is true. I work with them al least 3 days for the week... sometimes is fun and sometimes is crazy. Thanks for the songs, i need to be patient with kids lol... Cosmin can you help me to develop power in my voice? i feel that i sing in tune, but i don´t know how to develop power or more volumen in my voice.. thanks -------------------- .:: Colombian fingerstyle guitar player ::.

Hey mate
The power in your voice comes from learning how to breathe and how to get the air out when singing. Can you breathe into your stomach? Breathing air into your stomach and pushing the air with the aid of the diaphragm will enhance your volume and power and there's one more thing - controling the position of you larynx - the higher you are able to hold it the close your singing volume to your speech volume. This technique is called speech level singing and it's one of the most important aspects in singing if you ask me. You can read more on the larynx in singing, here: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/loca...ed-singing.html The main ideas here, on short would be: - focus on breathing in your stomach and pushing the air from your stomach (diaphragm) when you sing - control the position of the larynx so that you may be able to sing as loud as you speak There's a lot to talk about here, but this is a good start Please let me know what your thoughts are, Oscar. |
