Dear GMC Members,
It gives me great pleasure to announce ...
Yes, that's right, Kris has decided that we all need t-shirts because he was appalled at the dress sense he saw in the "what do you look like" thread
I'm joking of course, its obvious that a place as awesome as GMC just has to have a T-Shirt, and the winning entries will receive a prize - see below!
Here's how it will work:
We will be creating 2 different designs:
1. Member design - this can be wild, weird, fun, freaky, the choice is yours since its your t-shirt. The regular members t-shirt will have a variation for GMC Seniors, it should be a similar or identical design, but with the word "Senior" on the design somewhere. This design needs to have "guitarmasterclass.net" somewhere on it.
2. Instructor design - this needs to be professional looking and not too wild and wacky - instructors will be representing GMC with this so it needs to be smart an businesslike and to the point. It needs to have "guitarmasterclass.net" clearly visible on the top. We will produce this in different colors so that not all of the instructors look like identical twins!
There will be a time limit of a week on Monday to get your ideas uploaded (that gives 2 full weekends) - let me know if you don't think that is enough time.
Once we have all the nominations, we will enter the voting/judging process.
1. For the member t-shirt, we will have a thread with a poll which we will run for a week. At the end of that, the top 5 designs will go forward for finally judging by a panel of our very own GMC Seniors (lets get them working for their privileged position!)
2. The Instructor T Shirt will be judged totally by none other than our very own Kristofer Dahl
When we have the designs, we will make them available to GMC members for purchase so you can all have the privilege of wearing a GMC t shirt - vital for spotting other GMCers at gigs and in guitar stores!
And finally, I saved the best bit till last .... in addition to the bragging rights of saying you designed GMC's T shirt (which is not to be underestimated), we will be giving away, to the winner of each category ...

So, we just draw something on a paper or do we use photoshop etc. ? Or is it our own choice how do it?

Its your choice how you design it, but it has to end up as a graphics file so you can upload it - if you draw something you need to be able to scan it that's all.

Nah MickeM - Andrew posting it in the forum was the right place. That way all the members KNOW that they have to offer us bribes and so will hopefully start outbidding each other

My photoshopping sucks and so does my droawing stick people....
This is going to be hard (ill still try though).
Now heres a photoshop question:
How do you get the lasso tool to cut propely with a mouse. I get these edges and stuff cause my hand shakes around curved surafes.

I tried to stick with same theme as GMC homepage, and I did this because it rocks!... And Kris likes red 
I think this is a good thing to have on the back, to catch someones attention, and maybe they will read the website name and pop in and start rocking too.
I might do the Members and Seniors tomorrow.

We need the text to say GuitarMasterClass.net - the reason for this is because we want new people to find us, but also because the domain name is what we have got patented (a requirement to start pringing stuff).

The shirt is just a random template. The design could be adjusted for any style shirt. I too prefer a tighter fit. I actually thought the shirts should be made of velvet or perhaps velour. Just kidding.

Ok, I've fixed it to have Kris' face, but I kept the slogan as "You Ready?" because it fits the sizing better and we have to remember that he does actually only say "you ready?" in the welcome video and not "are you ready?"
+ GMC is not exclusively shred material, so I didnt think it was fair to include only a section of the guitar curriculum in the t-shirt.

I think your design is killer!!!
Only thing if i was going to point out every detail ,i would add a little more to the front part that says are you ready.With that being done your's would be hands down my favorite as of right now.What i really liked about your's is how you put ''gmc wear'' i think thats smart along with all the different nations,cause it really is a big mix of different countrys here.
Good Job and really everybody has got some cool designs

I decided that since Andrew said that all instructors would have to have different colours of t-shirts so that they didnt look the same, that I should make mine in a selection of different colours to add variety;
GMC Burgundy;
Deep Purple Blue;
Fantastic Forest Green;
As well, of course, as the original vintage orange that I submitted earlier.
Matt, just noticed this, you appear to have two 'n's in uniting, it's spelt uninting by accident.

Tell me about it, the last encounter I had with a Haggis was almost as bad as the time I was attacked by the Bagpipe Octopus that lives in the local loch.

Look Matt, I'm sorry, I didnt mean for it to come out this way man and I still want to see your entries in the competition - I really like and would get some of the t-shirts and stuff with your designs on them if they were made, the whole GMC-wear thing was great and really pro and it would be a shame to waste the international guitar design that was also swish. I know you probably think its really nasty of me but I didnt mean it in a harmful intent, I was just suggesting you should consider changing the font.

ofcourse you can shift a little with the design, i do not know what the major opninion would be.
and all colours can ofcourse change (im not a big fan of white t-shirts)

Yes, that's right, Kris has decided that we all need t-shirts because he was appalled at the dress sense he saw in the "what do you look like" thread
I'm joking of course, its obvious that a place as awesome as GMC just has to have a T-Shirt, and the winning entries will receive a prize - see below!
Here's how it will work:
We will be creating 2 different designs:
1. Member design - this can be wild, weird, fun, freaky, the choice is yours since its your t-shirt. The regular members t-shirt will have a variation for GMC Seniors, it should be a similar or identical design, but with the word "Senior" on the design somewhere. This design needs to have "guitarmasterclass.net" somewhere on it.
2. Instructor design - this needs to be professional looking and not too wild and wacky - instructors will be representing GMC with this so it needs to be smart an businesslike and to the point. It needs to have "guitarmasterclass.net" clearly visible on the top. We will produce this in different colors so that not all of the instructors look like identical twins!
There will be a time limit of a week on Monday to get your ideas uploaded (that gives 2 full weekends) - let me know if you don't think that is enough time.
Once we have all the nominations, we will enter the voting/judging process.
1. For the member t-shirt, we will have a thread with a poll which we will run for a week. At the end of that, the top 5 designs will go forward for finally judging by a panel of our very own GMC Seniors (lets get them working for their privileged position!)
2. The Instructor T Shirt will be judged totally by none other than our very own Kristofer Dahl
When we have the designs, we will make them available to GMC members for purchase so you can all have the privilege of wearing a GMC t shirt - vital for spotting other GMCers at gigs and in guitar stores!
And finally, I saved the best bit till last .... in addition to the bragging rights of saying you designed GMC's T shirt (which is not to be underestimated), we will be giving away, to the winner of each category ...

Mattucks hats are awsome same with his shirts. Its between those and legions for me I really like more casualness of legions it looks like something i would wear everyday. Mattucks are more professional.. perhaps this is the difference between instructor and member shirts? Where is the MOOwear shirt tho?

These are my entries.
The t-shirt shape itself is kinda crappy, I think.
But the design is quite good.
Maybe some colour changes though.
And this one is for both normal members and senior members.
If you're a senior member, the 'MEMBER'-inlays just change into 'SENIOR'
(I did not include a Senior-shirt because it would only be some 'lost space')

I already have my favorite here....a little tip is: it doesn't have a guitar on it! IMO there should be no guitar at all on the T-Shirt because that way we avoid an instructor dislikes what he wears. For example - me wearing an LP T-Shirt?? No way But some people here have some amazing skills with Photoshop
