Hi guys smile.gif
Started working on this new track yesterday. I'm quite pleased with it so far, so i decided to put up a betatest.

I call it betatest because i wouldnt call it a demo yet. There's some huge bugs in the volumesettings and i might have overdone it effectwise on the first verse smile.gif The sound might clip slightly at certain points there.

But anyhuu, i've decided for a more straightforward approach arrangement with this one. Focusing on just a handfull of sections instead innumerable different ones.

Any comments/criticism/pointers/complaints are more than welcome smile.gif

Cool Trond - personally I am really a fan of simpler song arrangements. I enjoyed this one so far!

I really like the structure and the riffs as they are.
Drumstrack is awesome, although is some seconds (in this FX section for example) it has too overthought groove IMHO, I mean too much syncopated (or whatever you call it wink.gif ). But apart this little issue overall the drums are almost perfect and really adds its value to the riffs.
Overall - I think it's going in the right direction, I'd just took one more look at those grooves and fix those effects (btw - I like the idea of this FX section, maybe it's slightly overdone, but all in all cool idea).

Hmmm:D First I wanted to write that I love Your guitar tone and playing. Than I thought "try to be more constructive than that", so I listened more, in one moment I thought "hmm a solo here would be a good addition" --> 3 seconds later the solo started sleep.gif So all in all - great! laugh.gif

Thanks! biggrin.gif
It's really tempting to "prog" it up more, but i'll do my best to keep this once simple smile.gif

Thanks for the comment! smile.gif
Your absolutely right, it's a tad overdone smile.gif I'm trying to figure out a better way to do the first verse section. I was thinking of extending it, and maybe making it calmer with stronger buildup to the next part.
I've recently just realized that this is actually a problem i have when recording songs. I tend to overdo alot in an attempt to make things as interesting as possible to make up for the lack of vocals.

Well... why not grabing a mic and... sing? ohmy.gif
As I completely lack any playing technique, have to do so, and few days ago found my old mic and started vocal training rolleyes.gif

This is really nice sounding! Btw, I personally like your style of "music only". I think there is a place for vocals and a place for just music. So having songs with vocals and some without - there's nothing wrong with that I think. smile.gif
