You've clearly got a good handle on this tune and your playing well!! There are some little things that are sorta bugging me on it though. The original using a fairly heavy right hand mute which he often lifts to create a Mute/Open strike pattern which accentuates the muted strings and un muted notes. You are doing this but when you mute it's not as hard of a mute as he is doing so there is less tonal contrast. Also, the Pinch harmonics are a bit part of this bit. Your pinch harmonics need a pinch more work as they are not ringing out. The hard part is that he hits the pinch on a wound string and does so in the middle of other notes so there is no space on either side of it. No time to prep, and no time to recover. This is the ZAKK WYLDE style pinch where one hits the pinch on the move. I think you can get a better pinch/squeal and give it more vibriato on the pinch as well to make it stand out more. I'd say you've got this but I think you can do better on it.

Cool Carlos -

You did pretty well over-all here, but this take is missing that last bit of mojo. I think the following comments address that:

* Your tone is probably more distorted than Lians. By dialing in a less distorted tone you will force your right hand to work more aggressively which will produce a rawer/more organic metal tone.

* Your playing could be tighter, this is especially obvious right before the break.

* You should be locking in with the groove like Lian, get your body parts moving with music!

Hi Carlos!

Good job here! You can play the whole thing at tempo, clean and clear. Now it's time to give this one some more "metal feeling". The key is to adjust your tone, groove and dynamics, and each of these elements are totally related. Both Todd and Kris talked about this element in their comments so you know the details on them. The idea is to give this take more energy, add details like pinch harmonics, polish articulation, and connect more with the backing track's groove.

I also think that your tone need some EQ adjustment (besides Kris comment). Try adding more treble or prescence to see if you can get closer to the original lesson so you can get those metal harmonics.

By the way, this is very close mate, keep on the hard work!
