If you take a stock 6505 and dial up the mA with a BIAS-Mod it sounds way more saturated (the stock bias is way too low on peaveys, it makes them sound cold and thin!). As I'm sure you know, mods don't really change the gain structure per se, but just enhance the tone, i.e. thicker, clearer, etc. (well thats usually the intention, many times mods make the amp sound poopy ) For some reason though, this one just sounds more vicious to my ears than the others I've heard You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
