I've just very proudly received my podliveXT today, and couldnt wait to run it through my also quite new big giant amp (MAXWATT). Unfortuntly, I've run into a problem or two.

If I connect the pedal directly to the Speakers on the stack, Im barely getting any noise out of it. Made sure the pedals output and chan volume is on max, and its barely audible. The strings would drown out the speakers noise.

When the pedal is connected into the input of the stacks head for mono, the volume is fine, but the tone is completly wrong. The treble/mid/bass on the head is completly messing things up. And of course, turning them all down leads us back to the no volume issue.

I know very little about sound engineering, so if a techie could help me out, it'd be very very much obliged smile.gif

I've been playing about two years. No I dont know any Irish folk/traditional etc etc tongue.gif

I've had guitars for 3 years - started with a yamaha pacifica, and then moved on to a gibson gothic. Didnt like that guitar all that much, could never get the crunchy tone I wanted. Then I got a girlfriend who insisted on me not playing guitar so often.. so I pretty much gave up for a good year.

Thankfully, I got rid of her about a year ago and picked it back up. Got myself equipped with a Jackson KE3 Kelly Custom, and a 500W HI-WATT amp. Im waiting for my Pod Live XT to arrive in the mail next week.

I signed up because Kris' style is so varied, and also quite different from mine. Wheras I focused on less-than-amazing too-many-pinch-harmonics solo's and sweep picking, I never really took the time to learn the more influential stuff that Kris has showed himself well capable of performing.

Im hoping my stay here will result in myself learning a lot more theory, as well as the many different technics he has showed off.

Nice to meet you all!
