Distortion Pedal

Nov 23 2007, 08:36 PM	GMC:er Posts: 1.255 Joined: 12-April 07	I've just realised that I need a distortion pedal, so I'm just wondering if you could give me tips about what to get, or what not to get. I've been thinking about the Boss MT-2, it seems good and it costs about what I feel I want to spend, but I've also heard that it has way too much treble, and I'm not a big fan of too much treble. I'm not a fan of the sound where you kill all the mids either, if that makes any difference. And, lastly, I will be using the pedal for something doom/death metal/postrock-ish, so I'll need something that would fit for that. Plenty of room for versatility if you ask me. I know a lot of people who uses this as their fisrt metal pedal. Ive played it in thrash and old school death metal. Never tried black metal to it but im sure you can get a good black metal tone out of any distortion pedal.
