Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold. idk i don't care for Avenged but im looking at some of his stuff and its pritty intence.

I agree all the "real metal" fans say he sucks but I've always liked his stuff plus hes just getting started I'm sure he will be well recognized once he has finished

My candidate. Ok, not the cleanest, but great rhythm, and he sings.

+1 to that... I saw them play a few months back... pretty much... intense to say the least. haha. It was cool because not many people knew who they were so the crowd wasn't so big and I was like right there in front of the guitarist hahaha.

CREAM! (They broke up much too early)

I have to say.. I agree completely. I love Cream, one of my favorite bands, in fact.

One guitarist that isn't famous to anyone I know is Eric Johnson. laugh.gif (Go ahead and gasp)
Believe it or not, I had never heard of him until I started playing guitar. And none of my friends had heard of him except from me. Now that I've made them listen to him, they love him. cool.gif

...you will have taken your very first steps towards Johnson land...

Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul Standard (Modified), Yamaha Pacifica (Black; modified with different humbuckers and a few other things)

Equipment: Vox DA5 Digital Amp (It's a little weak, but fun nonetheless), Line 6 Pod X3 Live

Wishlist: An Ibanez RG Model, and a yummy Pavel and Andrew Cockburn JEM.. Mmmm. I'd also love a Marshall Stack. That'd be awesome. :D

Jeff Loomis definately, stunning guitarist

Kyle Gass, Tenacious D tongue.gif

Last but not least, (im a bit biased) but Corey Beaulieu never gets any of the glory behind Matt Heafy of Trivium and he is an INSANE shredder and creator of music smile.gif smile.gif

Eric Johnson - again, how many people actually know him?
Lenny Kravitz
Alex Lifeson - Totally overshadowed by his band.
Ted Nugent - He's crazy but he can rock the house.
Pete Townshend - I don't think anyone played harder.
STEVE HOWE - If you don't listen to Yes, start.
