> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Eric Clapton Style by Laszlo Boross

Sorry for posting the wrong video the first time. I plan to rec this again, I find I tend to overthink which in turn I start making mistakes.

Hi, I think you've got the biggest part of the lesson sorted.. you just need to work on a couple of things.

Timing - you have a habit of rushing just a little bit.. it's not massive, but it's noticeable enough. So just relax a bit more and hang back.

Bending - again, not bad at all, but could be stronger. I can see you bending with your 3rd finger only in some places. Always try to use your other fingers to add strength to it if you can. smile.gif

Hey Tom!

Aside from what Ben stated, I would like to add the fact that I noticed you grabbing the upper edge of the neck when bending, with your thumb, but still, you need to put a more strength into the bends in order to make them sound convincing.

Otherwise, as an overall impression - it needs a bit more flow, which will be given by playing this piece a lot and becoming more and more comfortable with it.

Take Ben's suggestions and mine into account and you can make it happen!

Nice take and improvements are visible smile.gif Aside from what guys said I would only like to add that Your hands and fingers positions look very well. You night only need to insrease pick stability by grabbing it a bit harder. You already use an side of index finger and underside of the thumb that usually works for most of players smile.gif Good job with the lesson. Improve the timming and bends (not that bad at all!) and I think You are able to reach 10 with this one smile.gif

Hi mate. As my friends said here, the things to improve on this one are timing, bending and picking stability (intensity cause it's irregular). Each of these things will be fixed if you keep on practising this lesson, isolating the trickier parts and playing them as a loop over metronome.
