advertising is one option. There must be forums, papers, school note boards etc.
Guitar and brass makes teriffic jazz. Don't take for granted the other guitarist don't help, having people to play with is developing so he or she may catch up quickly. -------------------- My bands homepage

If you're within reasonable distance of a guitar/music shop most will have a pin board for ads and stuff as well. Even without a board the staff should know the local music scene. I also used to find just going around with a guitar case can work - people at school/work etc will ask you what's in it and so on...

your only 13 don't start a band i know it seems fun, but really its not a good age to be in a band your too young, im not saying your skill is not there its simply that fact that the band really wont go anywhere. Not going anywhere is part of the fun and the learning process. Learning what doesn't work is arguably more important than learning what does (although I do agree that a band you start at age 13 isn't likely to go far, its still a great learning process though). -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
