Well it wouldn't hurt if you buy a good set of strings...

Hey man , welcome to GMC !!
I recommend buying a new set of strings before trying to play anything.. There is a restringing tutorial video lesson here on gmc if you don't know how to do it.. Have a lot of fun learning!

, i dont know if u can buy those but i can surely get a new set of strings, any recommendations as to which kind ? oh and im using a fender stratocaster

it kinda looks like a rectanble peg where u put the string through to go to other side of guitar, it holds it up so its not dragging on the board i guess but thats whats missing
