GMC Forum _ GMC site feedback & suggestions _ Full-screen Feature
Posted by: Raph Nov 16 2008, 01:28 PM
I've seen on other guitar sites, where they have a full-screen feature to their videos. I think it would be nice if vids at GMC had a full-screen feature as well.

I believe that feature is on the way, just be patient it will happen eventually.

Man the new player is awesome. Has this been intergrated on all lessons?
I have a feature request unless its there already and I just dont know? Hot Keys to control the player?
Maybe like space bar to stop and start the player. Backspace to restart the loop?
Thanks,

Hotkeys controling the player is a great idea! However I'm not sure how difficult it would be for admins to run it.

That's a great idea about hotkeys.....Don't know how easy its to integrate it into newer versions of the player..

It is actually possible to get fullscreen with the new player.
With the web browser firefox just press ctrl and "+" (use ctrl and "-" to restore or go to the menu and click show>zoom>restore).

Yes I desperately want this as well - but we haven't been able to prioritize it.
However, with the new player update we didn't only get the new player - we got a new "background system" - so making minor tweaks to the lessons will hopefully be a little easier in the future..!

That's cool, but the way it goes full screen, it actually just zooms in. What I meant is that the player would fill the whole screen and maybe along the bottom is a pop-out menu where you can view the lessons text, tab, etc.

I think zooming in gives the same or very similar result to that.

I think this suggestion is a MUST a full screen mode.
If others could, you too!

Oh, sorry... I forgot.. It's not like I mentioned the time I met you when you were standing almost naked in that huge keg filled with pasta and Tootsie Pops, singing "Fangad av en Stormvind", though
..... Or was that me? :S

Can't believe you did it again Canis, this is the last time secrets are revealed to you!
Edit:loads of typos from lots of missing letters from my new laptop's keyboard which is harder to press than my old laptop's. Did I mention I have a new laptop?

Yeah, I was asking myself the same question when I first saw GMC. Obviously, video quality is great, you can stretch it.
Wide screen is good solution, I think that in a year we will have HD videos:)
