does anyone have a good link for tux guitar that doesn't bring any of that extra crap

What type of crap are you getting? It's been a while since I downloaded it but I've never had a problem. I always "uncheck" toolbars & antivirus solicitations during installation. But I am a big advocate for Tux. I love it. It's been a very helpful tool for me.
