I gave the vocals a shot, and people seem to think it's an okay job. Personally I'm not sure I like the first part, so I want to at least re-record that. Around the chorus/second part, I think it's a bit better.

Also, it's just a draft/demo, but it's something after a bit of a hiatus!

Let me know what you think.

And now with a more Disney like intro laugh.gif

Which intro do you like best? With or without backing vocals?

I have to say that I'm moved by listening to this track with your vocals. It's pure magic man. The composition sounds very interesting, and your voice gives this a very fresh air! Your voice is PERFECT for this music, and I think that you should go for this, and start singing all your compositions. This progressive style makes me think on amazing bands like Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Anathema, Steven Wilson and so...

You are very talented.

I've enjoyed more the first version of the song.

Congrats!!!!

Wow, those are some big words, man! Thanks a lot, Gabriel!

I've never really worked on my clean singing, but it's never too late to start practicing smile.gif

I've heard you singing clean, growling, screaming, rapping, and it always sounded top level.

Go for it!! smile.gif

I like version 2 with the background vox.

It all sounds good man. I really dig the rhythmic delay on the lead parts (starts at 1:02).
My only critiques would be
1 ) lower the kick drum volume.
2) back off the vocal volume a bit.
3) either cut the last note/chord off short or let it hang a bit longer.

Good tune. Bravo!

Really great job on this tune. It's great to see a GMCer singing!!! It's hard!! Also, it takes real stones to put yourself out there and have it judged by everyones ears. The good news is, you can really sing!!! Keep it up. It adds a new layer to your sound and separates you from wads of music that doesn't have vocals smile.gif

Are you sure you don't like the intro/first part? I think it's awesome. You have a strong voice and it fits just perfect for this song! In general non-vocalist tend to be good at backing vocals, but you have a lead vocal type voice. You're in the right path!
