On the actual Youtube page only copy the code between the V= and the & or to the end of the line of code.
Over to the left of the text field (and below the 'smilys' there's a Quick Access menu with Insert: and three or four options.
Pick/click on Insert: youtube.
Paste that little section of code into the box.
Should work.

*I love the strat sans middle pkup (Blackmore stylie)

Hey bud! smile.gif

I think that a good starting point in understanding what's what with scales would be this series of lessons:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Triads..._Series_Part_1/

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Triads..._Series_Part_2/

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Triads..._Series_Part_3/

You will understand the structure of a major scale and the way in which you can obtain chords out of it wink.gif Let me know if you got any questions or if you would like to develop the subject together smile.gif

I was about to post something similar to this post, but once I read it, seems alot like what im stuck doing..not progressing..Got alot of technique but don't know how to apply it. I know the pentatonic scale and practice them up and down the neck alot. But when I solo using them it isn't very melodic, sometimes it might sound pretty good sometimes not. The power chords get old but thats all I know when im playing rock or metal music...anyone know how to dress them up maybe or different fingerings?

Hey man smile.gif

Now that you know some positions, it's important to train your ear and theoretical knowledge into understanding WHY and WHEN you must play what you know smile.gif

You can start with the lessons that I have recommended in this thread:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Triads..._Series_Part_1/

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Triads..._Series_Part_2/

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Triads..._Series_Part_3/

This will give you insight into the idea of building chords using the notes in a scale - from this point on, you will be able to understand what notes sound good over what chords -> this is the essence of using a scale or an arpeggio in a musical context.

Take a look over these and let's discuss further if you wish smile.gif
