Whats Too Old

I was thinking whats too old to be playing in a band?
I feel like i missed my calling.. I started playing guitar when i was 14, and played on and off for 12 years. I had alot of people tell me that i was good... Then i got caught up in putting straws in my nose and chasing around women, and quit playing.. then i settled down and got married... Now after 12 years off i have recently started playing again( in january), and im coming up with alot of nice sounding riffs.. I would like to be in a band, but i was thinking who would want to come watch some 40 year old playing speed metal riffs onstage...

Just wondering whats everyones thoughts on this... And to the younger members, would you watch a band in their 40's playing metal?
