Just in case you hadn't heard, FB now only lets about 10 percent of posts from "Fan/Artist Pages" through. Which is why folks are switching to using personal pages instead. Just something to be aware of smile.gif I"ve switched to using my personal page for everything and stopped posting to my Artist/Band Page.

Personal pages are different from "Band Pages", personal pages require login to view and friending for sharing certain info. Band pages are visible through a google search and don't typically restrict information.

Recently, facebook started requiring "pay for play" meaning that about 10 percent of posts from bands make it to their fans news feeds. Each time you make a post now you'll see a "PROMOTE THIS POST" where you have to pay to promote the post so that fans actually see it.

Myspace was big for a while too, nobody could imagine it starting to flop during the peak (ages ago) and IMHO facebook will face the same drama. Now that posting is "pay to play" it's sort of lost the whole point of social media. IT's become more corporate media. Start looking for the next "thing" guys.
