i hope i,m the right part of the forum to post this, this is my first lesson since joining a couple of days ago, please take a listen, and tell me what you think....i would really like the input...thank you very much !!!!!

I think you did ok for the most part. The timing goes a bit off at times and you would really benefit from adding more vibrato since long held notes can quickly sound dry and dull without it. But the bends were good and usually in tune.

All in all, I think you did a good job

thank you very much trond for your input, that,s why i joined GMC is to get better, i absolutely love your lessons and your sound, it,s never too late to teach an old dog new tricks....THANKS AGAIN

hi besip, thanks for the input, since joining GMC it has really showed me how much i really need to improve my timing and my own flaws in my playing, but i,m really looking to get better, and i know here at GMC i,m in the right place.....thanks again

I must compliment your tone , you really recorded this well..You played it very good too, I would also suggest adding vibrato to those long sounding notes to make them more "musical' Keep up the good work!

This is pretty cool - nicely done! This lesson was the first one I completed but I am still working on it trying to improve some of the bends and adding more vibrato. You will likely notice that a number of Trond's lessons are incredibly useful for improving your bending but I think you will also find that many of the lessons are paced just right for us beginner-intermediate players to find time to develop our own particular vibrato.

You may want to try Trond's Slow solo exercise for this type of thing (another one is his Am solo or the beginning of his Canon in D - speedy rendition). At first, I didn't really like that lesson too much as I just couldn't seem to time the bends or get the sound I liked out of it that it didn't do it for me musically. However, last weekend (after taking a hiatus of a month to heal up a bout of tendinitis), I worked on it and suddenly, like magic, I could feel the music rather than simply play it - I now consider it one of the most important advances in my playing.

Sounds great man, bends are nice and precise, I like it. Tone is little thin, but that has to do with the preset, other than that it's pretty cool mate. Keep rockin

my sincere thanks to all the GMC,ers that gave their input, it means a lot to me because it will help me improve on my bends and vibrato and maybe my timing too....again my sincere thanks to my fellow GMC,ers !!!!!

How many takes did you record it in ?

hi pedja, thank you very much, for you comment, it took me 4 tries to record it the way you hear it now, i screwed up the timing the first 3 tries, and even now i,m not perfect on the timing, but it was alot of fun learning something new, cause it,s been a long time for me to learn a new piece of music, and i really love the sound trond uses, i must get around to asking him what kind of effects he uses....thanks again
