I was kind of boring and only used the minor pentatonic with some other colorful notes here and there...

I tried to stay in funky town but I ended up in shred city, I may re-record this after I've brushed up more on the Dorian mode.

EDIT: I re-recorded using my podXT instead of mic-ing my amp, I think it sounds a little clearer.

Haha my third take:

Finally it has arrived - so many annoying technical recording problems rolleyes.gif , the biggest problem always being me as usual - I'm such a doofus - but it's the best I could get happening...

smile.gif

The A.C.1 isn't really a High Gain Amp (yet) so it needs a little help for this kind of sound, so I am using my Keeley BD1 as a booster to get the basic sound - lots of sustain and compression when I do that, I am really liking it smile.gif

My wife was around so I had to use my Weber Mass attenuator, but I dimed the gain and the volume. I am thinking if I add an additional high gain preamp stage I can do this without needing the blues driver.

I tried the line out of my attenuator but it sounded horrible - nasty and fizzym so I miced it with a cheap and nasty Dynamic Mike, since it was the only dynamic I had and for some reason my Tube Condenser crackled horribly when I used that. I just ordered an SM57 though.

After recording I use Gearbox to add delay, a little compression and some chorus to space the sound out in the stereo field, and finally a little EQ to bring out the treble a little more.

Not bad for a first outing I thought - I am pretty pleased with this as a new lead sound smile.gif
