My favorite bit of driving road I've come across so far is the Blue Ridge Parkway/Rt.221 loop near Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Its so far the best motorcycling road I've been on. The Blue Ridge Parkway portion is very scenic and the roads are entertaining if taken at a moderately high speed, but then as you turn onto 221 the turns are relentless Turn after turn on the side of a mountain, and almost all of the turns are banked, which makes them even more fun to ride. Some of turns are blind and a decreasing radius around the side of a mountain, so whoever is the lead bike has to exercise a lot of caution. If you look at the map we start at Blowing Rock and take the Blue Ridge Parkway till about the third merger with 221, then take that back to Blowing Rock.
