Although I've been here a while, I haven't even introduced myself! Once I realized there was a specific forum designed for this, I decided to drop in.
First of all, my name is Erik and I'm 16-years-old. Like I said, I've been at GMC a little while. This site is awe-inspiring, amazing, lifting, and well-designed in every way. The lessons and theory provided are exquisite! I've only been playing since Christmas. Sadly, I haven't been able to play through the past like two months because of school and work. I wish my teachers would quit giving out so much homework. I really wish I could help GMC in some way programming-wise, as I've been a programmer and web designer for the past well... 5 years now. (Doesn't seem like that long, wow.) So if you need help with anything Kris, just give me a shout! It's great to meet you all! // Erik PS: Some of my favorite lessons thus far are Pavel's Speedpicking lessons, Muris's Alternate Picking and a few of his others, and basically all of Kris's. -------------------- QUOTE (Kristofer Dahl) ...you will have taken your very first steps towards Johnson land... Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul Standard (Modified), Yamaha Pacifica (Black; modified with different humbuckers and a few other things) Equipment: Vox DA5 Digital Amp (It's a little weak, but fun nonetheless), Line 6 Pod X3 Live Wishlist: An Ibanez RG Model, and a yummy Pavel and Andrew Cockburn JEM.. Mmmm. I'd also love a Marshall Stack. That'd be awesome. :D |

...Is your name actually Erik Johnson? You lucky son of a gun... Wow I thought we had the "real" Erik Johnson for one moment! XD Well, he is another REAL Erik Johnson, but not the Eric Johnson who everyone of us know Good name BTW Hahah thanks for the comments! I knew that was going to pop up sometime, and yeah. That's my name. It was pretty funny because when I first got my guitar and amp for Christmas I went to Guitar Center to test out the Line 6 PodXT Pro Live (still haven't gotten it yet! ) and my guitar teacher (my uncle) found a few presets on another amp and one of them was labelled 'Eric Johnson' and I basically said, "Uhm... wow. That's REALLY weird," and my guitar teacher laughed at me. It was pretty funny, I've gotta say. With my dad being a drummer of 25 years and the obvious name thing, it was just destined that I become a guitar player (maybe even a good one eventually... hopefully). So far I'm really enjoying it! -------------------- QUOTE (Kristofer Dahl) ...you will have taken your very first steps towards Johnson land...
