Tuning A Floyd Rose Guitar, ...or similar floating bridges? Options

Ok, so this really caught my attention the other day when my band decided we wanted to cover a song with a tuning that dropped half a step

I use an Ibanez Prestige RG1570 (best guitar I've ever owned/played) and it has the awesome floating Edge Pro bridge. However, getting a mediocre tuning when I tuned half a step down was a 20 minute process. As I would tune the bottom E string down half a step to D# and tune the others, the D# would once again be out of tune, as the other strings have lost tension.

Now I've read a couple sites and they offered differing methods. Some would say to tune the strings in this order:

EA
ED
EG
EB
Ee

so in that order your going through each string, and checking back on the low E string to make sure its in tune, and some sites would say to tune your low e and B strings about 10 cents sharp, the D and G strings to perfect tune, and the low E and A to about 10 cents flat....

Do you guys have a particular method for tuning a floating, Floyd Rose style bridge? If so, I'd sure like to hear it (hopefully a simple method!)

If that don;t work I have no clue. I'm thinking of buying an Ibanez but the bridge is the one thing that is keeping me from running out and buying one tomorrow. I'm mechanically inclined but??
