Awesome thread!

1. I've learned how to play, basicly tongue.gif I got my first electric guitar for christmas 2007, and I've spent this year learning everything from scratch, since I realized I had learned nothing from the 3 years of acoustic playing before my "electric era" smile.gif
To sum some of it up: I've learned powerchords, alternate picking, arpeggios, tapping, some scales, some sweep picking, chords, timing... I've learned that the best musicians isn't always the most famous one (thinking of our instructors), and I've learned that I'd love to work with music for the rest of my life!

2. This year I'm gonna keep progressing. I've learned so much this year, that I can't imagine how I'm gonna sound in a year tongue.gif
I'm gonna learn a load of theory so I can make my own songs, I'm gonna progress my techniques, and I'm gonna stay at GMC for ever tongue.gif

hmm...

the first one is easy.
I learned to hold a pick, fret a note, use the pick to play a note, etc. I also got a guitar, a key step in learning how to play. I also discovered GMC, could play my first song, blah blah blah blah blah. Yeah, I've only been playing since April, so I'd say I've learned a lot.

By 2010, though, I want to play the entire songbook I got for Christmas. It has all the songs my dad likes on it because he picked it out. wink.gif

I spelled my username wrong...I didn't even think that was possible!

Look at the topic for my guitar...
Finished Guitar Build

Gear:
Homemade strat (You still need to look at its topic!)
Squier strat (probably going to get rid of it and get another guitar instead) :)
Line 6 spider amp (not actually used for anything, just acts as a speaker)
Digitech Gnx2 (kind of old, but cheap, and sounds amazing!)

Last year....
I've took my guitar off the shelf after over ten years wink.gif

Now I want to return to my normal rythm capabilities plus I want to begin learning soloing, which I can't do at all.
Now my current rythming is really varried: I can fast gallop one riffs and cannot play other much slower ones wink.gif heh...
So, generally speaking - put my past skills back with rythming and start learning soloing.
