Hi there,

I feel like making a video for Christmas.

I found Slent Night Rocker Version by Gabriel LEOPARDI

It's great ! I work since 3 days - I work on BT 100 BPM because it's without gab's guitar track
The problem is speed. The final sweeping arpeggios is simply demonic.

How is it possible to play so fast ?
Gab, you were born on another planet?

Have you advices for me to improve my speed on this arpeggios ?

Here my first take 65% speed + accelerated 135% version

Well done! Both versions are played quiet well imho. The sweeps at the end are tricky indeed. As you know, the trick to playing anything fast it is to play it a LOT. You do a really fine job of playing the sweeps at the fast and slow speed. Like any tough bit, isolation is key. Taking the sweep bit and just playing it on a loop with a metronome is one way to go about it. You can break each one down to a few notes, first 4, then last 4 etc and build each one back up as well. d
Well played!
Todd

Hi Todd

I watched part no. 6 of the video.
Gabriel starts all arpeggios : pick down

I worked this morning with and without metronome.
Without metronome, I feel better things to accelerate.

it's a good work for me, I'm motivated rolleyes.gif

Gabe is a killer player. The only "Secret" is years and years of dedicated practice smile.gif I was impressed by your take to be sure! I really think you could play anything you set your mind to.

haha no! I was born in Buenos Aires, but I became obsessed with Malmsteen’s playing when I was 15 so I used to practice this stuff all day long. 😁

You are doing it well but I’m not sure about your right hand picking directions. If you start each arpeggio with a downstroke on first string followed by a pull of, I recommend to switch it to upstroke.

Hi Gab

I knew you were a killer

Looking at your video, I work the same way you do with the pick.
It's difficult but I think that by working, this lesson will be rewarding for my sweeping.

Hi

New work 80 BPM with starting down picking

It's difficult because I feel like doing a jerky job
