Slogstorm is an AMAZING death metal band from the same town I live in.
I'm no big fan of death metal, I like a few groups, but this band is my favorite. I love their style and sound alot.
Me and my band is gonna play with them in November, cant wait
Their concerts are awesome, they even got to play at the Inferno festival(awesome norwegian metal festival) once.
So, I just thought I should introduce them, check them out.

Yeah I sure am
We also played with them a year ago, but back then we sucked. And it was on a tiny "danseband" stage
Hmm Borknagar, is that something new from them(the youtube link)? A little too much synth for my taste
Posted by: Hemlok Sep 14 2007, 07:37 AM
nah its a few years old, their first 2 albums were the best but I cant find youtube video
Posted by: Robin Sep 14 2007, 07:39 AM
Yeah the old stuff is always best, and hardest to find

Sick stuff, im a lighter metal kinda guy but it reminded me of nile which makes it A okay great find in a band here.

Really? Who?

Your forgetting he knows every metal band going. I can run-off names of stuff I own thats completely obscure just to find out he already owns their entire discography.

Actually youve mentioned bands i havent heard of before, actually youve metnioned quite a few, and it might have been you (Robin)who told me about them. (Slogstrom)
If you dont know, when i get bored i look up random bands, plus i spend alot of time on the metal recommendations list. i look in the back of CD Booklets things, read what bands they thank, look them up, i read metal maniacs alot which has alot of weird bands in it. I dont know, Metal is my thing, i know more about it than my own family (no joke). It's an obsession By the way....

I just think it was weird that you had heard about them from others than me, becuse they dont have a record label, they are only working on their second demo atm, and as far as I know they havent done any gigs outside Norway. And they were inactive for a while
(Still my favorite death metal band ever though)
So, I guess I might have mentioned them before
Oh and, yeah, it didnt surprise me that you know more about metal than you know about your family

It was either you or my friend on another forum, and he is all over anything from Norway or coming out of there, he mentions alot of stuff like this, Basically, when it comes to Norwegian underground, you and maleficarvm (the other friend) are my connections.

Ok kewl
Oh btw, do you think you could ask him if he heard about my band?
(Creep Colony)
Not the canadian death metal band, but the black metal band from Norway.
If he have heard about us I'm flippin out! Becuase if someone in the US knows about us, I think its really big
Btw have you heard Nifelheim? They're swedish though. I posted them in the metal thread a while ago.
They are kinda new, but it sounds like the stuff they play were recorded in the 80's with some crappy recording gear! Its amazing.
Oh and one more thing, I dont know if I have asked this before, but do you play in a band?
Posted by: The Uncreator Sep 19 2007, 07:38 AM
Currently im not in a band, i wish i was, i play with some friends, but due to how far we live apart its REAL hard to play regularly, besides that, most of my friends dont like my music, or atleast the kind i want to play which can bes best describes as "Progressive Melodic Death Metal/ Thrash Metal"
Everyone i know is like "LETS do ThE HArdCore BrEAKdoWNs iN EverY SonG EH?!?! "

Lamb of god fans?
I'm in a death metal/thrash band at the moment, I'm currently switching to guitar & vox instead of just the latter, jack of all trades master of none me
But yeah, we're changing direction at the moment - I changed the vocal styling, I wanted my lyrics to be interpretable and I dont have the technique to do death styled vocals as it kills my throught. So its kinda thrash with death lyrics and some blastbeat elements, fun.
So yes, Scottish DeathThrashCore - Made of wiN!
