So my sister used to casually take classic lessons while in high school.
A couple years ago she decided she wasn't interested anymore, so we had this digital piano gathering dust.

Been waiting to learn a few chops myself. So I decided to power it on.

And this was the issue I came across. In at least two keys.

It doesn't matter how soft I play the note always comes as if I slammed the key with a sledgehammer. huh.gif Sometimes it even comes out as a kind of 2 note trill rather than one note.

Any kind of suggestion how I might fix this.

Can't really be sure without opening but I had a similar issue with a synth. .

There was a plastic soft rubber placed between the keys and the sensor, that plastic was damaged so I couldn't get any varience in dynamics just like your video. I was told the part must be changed but this part isn't standard so its better if a repair shop handles this, I can't really be sure of the expense though.

Got ya. I have no expertise when it comes to opening and messing around with this kind of thing. I fear I might damage it even further.
Guess I will have to stop by shop next time I go the city-
