I had my guitar set up today and I'm not sure what to think. They added an extra spring to the Floyd Rose and said it helps it stay in tune better (came with 3, now has 4). It almost feels like they raised my action a little and I have no clue why they would do that. It doesn't sound a bit different to me but it is only about 6 weeks old. Now about the action, it may feel that way because I have been playing my other guitar for two days and the action is extremely low. Is this normal? I don't know what I expected and I don't know if I should be able to tell a difference. The shop has been here over 20 years and I am sure their tech knows what he's doing. Just don't know what to think about it.
Sometimes you have to get use to the right set up
They probably raised the action so there is no buzz and adding another spring help to stay in tune
You can go back and ask them to lower the action they should do it for free because usually guitar techs will give you a few days to see if you like what they did!
