What is this?, I saw Trond Vold's canon rock, there are many versions?, I didn't know Muris had one too, it must be one of those imposible insane lightning fast Muris licks. I will try to find it now

Trond has a version, Ivan has a version, Muris has a version, Bogdan, Juan, Gerardo, Dejan, Nemanja... A lot of versions here =)

There was a link to the "Canon in D" series somewhere, but I can't seem to find it..

I found a Muris Lesson called Pachebel Canon in D, amazing, I know why no one dares to post a video. Muris how do you come up with those licks?, you are a very creative musician, I am glad to have met you

My goal is to have something to post in a couple of months. We'll see, don't know if I have the cajones to possibly make and #$$ of myself, LOL!! It is definitely alot of fun to play/practice. Thanks for the lesson Muris'. You Sir ROCK!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I love those little tapping runs in his version smile.gif

If i had any chance at all of actually making it thru the lesson i might lol.

Seriously though i have messed around with it, but nothing i could post i have bits and pieces that i can do. I am still having a tough time with a few of the string skip parts they have odd stretch groupings that my hands seem to balk at. I will continue to work on it. Maybe someday smile.gif

I spent a lot of time learning this lesson. The
one part I could never get to speed was the
lightning alt picking part. I can run through
it about 15bpm under par. Alt picking is not
one of my strong points

Muris is the master & his version of Canon is a great lesson biggrin.gif

I'm not practicing Cannon but I am practicing Blue Note in A!! biggrin.gif

Everything Muris plays is unbelievable. I think though, that Cannon is today's modern "Freebird" if you know what I mean. laugh.gif I'm sort of staying away from it.

Well I just started it this week so I am still getting the licks under my fingers. One of the great things about these lessons is you can take these licks and "modify" them to suit your style/strengths and make it sound more like yourself. Muris' is from another planet!!! Glad to hear I am not the only one struggling with this. Maybe I'll put a take up at the end of the month. Not full speed of course, LOL!! It would be good to get some pointers and input from Muris and everyone else. What a great site where you can interact with world class players!!! Thanks again for the lesson Muris!! YOU ROCK!!!

i love recording muris's lessons will start learning this asap!

Posted by: Rated Htr Sep 11 2008, 10:42 PM

I would learn it all but still got train my legato and I have trouble mutting the strings when I do the tapping sad.gif

Posted by: lcsdds Sep 11 2008, 10:48 PM

For those who have been working on it, which part do you find the hardest? I would have to say the long alternate picking/sweeping run at the end. Also the really fast stacatto type arpeggio where he plays 6 notes over half of a beat is tough to get clean. There are just too many cool licks in this lesson to not learn it!!! Has anybody got this down at tempo yet? Besides Muris, LOL!!!

Posted by: Alex Lewis Sep 14 2008, 04:53 PM

not yet i find the alternate pickung run not too bad but thats probly because i been practicing alt picking for ages however the sweep straight after is a little tricky!
