Just something I recorded in about an hour today 'cause I was bored. Turned out pretty cool. The voice in the beginning is taken from the show "Ergo Proxy".

Kinda neat. What scale is it? Almost sounds like Hirajoshi (which is one of my faves).

Any chance you'd upload it minus the drum track and tell me the BPM, please? :-)

Really cool riff and a good melody, also loved it! The mix is much better now, the cymbals & hats are not so far away and its much more balanced, however I miss the bass....... very well done!! smile.gif

To be honest it was mostly all improv on the spot. I can't remember exactly what I played (Dont make fun of me) But I was kinda mixing some Pentatonic and Phyrgian ideas at the time, Although It could be different, I'll have to pick up my guitar when I get the chance.

Working on it, I finished recording bass for some other songs of mine though, and got two nasty blisters on me fingers laugh.gif

Been awhile since I picked up the ol' bass guitar.

Hey, I won't laugh. I make up stuff by ear and often I record something and then can't remember how I played it. laugh.gif

But if possible I would really like a copy of this piece without the backing drums as I want to try an experiment. Please? smile.gif

Sounds very good man. I overall, I think the mixing went well, except I believe there is little low end energy in the mix. My subwoofer barely gave signs of life even on higher settings, with occasional peaks that were pretty loud. Make sure you tame that low end and make the whole mix a bit beefier, and possibly scoop the mids using a multiband limiter or something. Adding higher presence on the MB limiter can help a bit as well, but don't go too far.
