I don't want to let the Uncreator be the only 1 reviewing albums so im going to do my own review smile.gif

My first thought is Shadows fall at their best. The album starts on a very high note with The light that blinds which most people will start to recognize from Guitar Hero 2. This song gives a great over view of the album to come, soft melodic accustic parts, heavy thrashy riffs and of course john and his ripping solos. It then dives into Enlightened by the cold, again showing shadows fall great heavy riffs and johns soloing abilities keeping up the great pace. Unlike some albums The War Within gets up to the great tempo Shadows Fall has and keeps it for the entire album, at number 8 we get the single Ghost of Past Failures and it begins to calm up till the end with Those Who Cannot Speak, this song begins slowly and then goes back to Shadows Falls great level of thrash. The Album ends on a great high note.

Total tracks are 10
The Light That Blinds.
Enlightened by the Cold
Act of Contrition
What Drives the Weak
Stillness
Inspirtation on Demand
The Power of I and I
Ghost of Past Failures
Eternity is Within
Those Who cannot Speak

total length 45 minutes

Overall Opinion is that this is a great album, anyone who enjoys intence thrash metal with more agressive singing and less growling this would be a great album to pick up

It's a good enough album, not anything spectacular, the clean vocals are there but not outstanding bringing an element of metalcore into the thrashy stuff.

Defined as a hybrid of metalcore/thrash by the encyclopedia of metal.

Its a fairly average record, theres not really any particular track that hits you and takes you for a ride but its nice technical stuff and there is an abundance of solo's which is great as they are normally lost in todays climate of less lead stuff, more riffage.
