H everyone, Here in NZ we are big on rugby we have the All Blacks Theres a website where you can pick your dream team any player that ever played for the All Blacks. So lets post our dream team band up, lets make it a five piece band, vocals, bass, lead guitar, rythem guitar, drums, and can be any player that ever played in a great band, should be intresting!!! Wats your dream band?

Acutally thats a good line up I wouldn't change it a bit, except for Paul Gilbert, I'd put in Jason Becker (without Lou Gherig's)

When you check my other bandmembers then you will see that this band would write very heavy music and robert simply has the best sound for that music and he plays fast enough with his fingers, which is a must to me.

Lead guitar - Jeff Beck
Rhythm Guitar/Vocals - Jerry Cantrell, John Fogerty, Josh Homme or Jack White (why are they all Js?)
Drums - Jimmy Chamberlin
Bass - John Paul Jones

Man that would be an incredible band. Jones and Chamberlin would be a hell of a rhythm section, Fogerty is an amazing songwriter with a great voice and a good feel for rhythm guitar, and beck would be great for lead. He would probably do some rhythm stuff too and let Fogerty just sing.

The only thing about Fogerty is that I can't really see him rocking any harder than he did on his heard it through the grapevine cover - which is astounding but another option might be Jerry Cantrell as another solid rhythm/lead capable player who can sing, and would take the band in a bit of a heavier direction (while still being able to do some good ol' rock and roll too).

So basically it would be one of two bands: Kick ass roots rocking or kick ass hard rock. This is just for living musicians though, if it included deceased musicians I don't think I'd be able to choose.

[edit] I just realized that two more men would make great vocal/rhythm men: Jack White and Josh Homme (white stripes and queens of the stone age respectively).

I would have gone with Lifeson instead of Stradlin but I didnt want it to seem that I was a Rush fanatic.

I am just going with overall musicianship in their propective expertise.

I guess in that case, you can just add Rob Halford & Randy Rhoads to Rush and have the greatest band ever

I've never heard of Øystein Sunde, but I have heard Bela Fleck a million times and I've met him too. And since Victor plays in his band, I've got to add Bela to your line up! And maybe Sam Bush on Fiddle too. It's nice to see someone else that appreciates those instruments! You might be interested in checking out some old New Grass Revival songs/videos. I'll tell you man, those guys were incredible for that type of music in their day and John Cowan is an incredible singer! (Sorry for posting a little off topic)

My dream lineup has existed once upon a time:

However, if I had to pick something else than that opeth line up:

And I'd like to put Peter Lindgren somewhere in there aswell. So yeah, a mix of porcupine tree and opeth would be perfect. Allthough, I'd rather have them as they are now, so I fail.
