Money is no object. Looking to buy a 15watt or less tube/valve combo amp/head for straight rock and blues with emphasis on warm lows. What would you pick?

Blackstar HT-5, Egnater Tweaker, Orange Tiny Terror, Laney Lionheart or A Vox Ac15 What? Has my fellow MVC got tired?? He said that money is NOT the issue. (just kidding) With great pespect to Zakk's suggestions here (which are all more or less stock amps) I want to add some other recommendations. The best would probably be to have an amp builder to build one based on one of the "classic" amps, eg. VOX, Marshall, Fender and with a speaker of Your choice. The other way round is to get a "boutique" -amp, eg. an amp that is manually made, but still is in a production-line. Examples of such is Victoria Amps, Dumble, Ceriatone & others. A third way would be to build one by Yourself from those kits available, but its not that easy as it seems.... I had one built in Denmark by a guy there, and I have never been happier with any amp. Its a Deluxe-clone, the only drawback with this one is that You JUST can play blues & rock on it......... //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. Overdrive, TC-Electronics G-Major, Dunlop Wah-wah, Original SansAmp, BOSS DD-2 Music by Staffy can be found at: Staffay at MySpace |

+ 1 for the Dumble. Or maybe the new Bogner Duende.
As far as "regular" amps go - Laney VC15 or Blackstar HT-5. |

Cant believe no-one has mentioned the Fender Blues Jnr! Great for blues straight in to the amp, in fact better than anything twice the cost of the fender by far, and briliant with pedals to get virtually any rock tone! Right! I have this one too... but it's not 15 W, rather 50 ..... //Staffay do they make Dumbles at less than 15watts? If your willing to look over 50watts and really want a fender look into the bassman... I guess they will if You pay them.... There's a lot of custom hand-wired amps on the market, a good bet is to search for them on Youtube, listen and then visit their home-page. //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans.
