David,

I enjoy everyone's posts, but I'm always excited about seeing your new lessons. I've never taken a lesson, but I've been playing for about 25 years and enjoy guitar as melodic instrument. I'll never have the ability to shred. I'm purely a hack, so I appreciate you explaining melody and theory in lessons. It really makes sense.

I'm using Garage Band on my Mac and have just started putting down tracks, which I've never done before, unless it was on a cassette tape in the 80's.

Would you mind making a future lesson showing how you go about laying down your tracks in Cakewalk? I'm taking a bunch of your ideas and expanding them, especially the Gilmour and Petrucci stuff, and trying to mix in my different influences. My goal is to actually post my own lesson on GMC. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do it effectively with the background tracks.

Thanks for all the great lessons!

Thanks Dennis!
I'm glad you enjoy my lessons and GMC.
I'll try to put up something together here about how to make lessons...
