I"m playing RAGE 2 on PS4 and it's the most fun I've had in forever. I've been really underwhelmed by the plethora of "Battle Royale" games that have taken over. They just seem pointless. Get killed, wait forever, start over. No respawn, just wait and watch or going all the way back out and come back in ugh. Finally a game with an actual CAMPAIGN mode, that feels thought out and well written. If you enjoy a good story with your game, not just twitch, kill, die, repeat, then I highly suggest RAGE 2. I'm renting it from RED BOX which is great as the game is just too expense to buy imho. It's a great game, but I don't think I need to spend $60 on it when I can just rent the thing and give it back when I've finished it. I love red box btw. Saves a ton of money on games that can be used for gear smile.gif Thank goodness for redbox. Anyone else playing this?

bit more in depth.

The best game I have played in years and one where I feel like I actually got my moneys worth is RDR2. I have had quite a bit of free time on my hands in the last 10 months to a year due to my illness and although I have only had the game for less than half of that time, I have yet to bring the game to 100% completion. I have finished the story and the epilogues but there is still plenty to do in the huge free roam world in the game. I am looking forward to starting it over and taking even more time with it to encounter some of the things I may have missed in my first play through and also do things a bit differently for a different experience.

For folks that may not know, RDR2 is RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2. (Part 1 was cool as well) It's set in a "Western" or "West World" type setting. Here is the trailer.

ANYONE ELSE GOT A COOL CONSOLE GAME SUGGESTION?

Thanks for the tip! I think I saw it on redbox. I stayed up til dawn playing rage 2 and completed it in one night. So the campaign is only about 10 hours so it's a good "weekend game" smile.gif Todd

That's so cool! I played the first RAGE and didn't really like it, but I liked the concept and I heard the sequel was coming. Thanks for sharing this. I'm gonna buy it as soon as I have a little more time to play it!/

I didn't buy it, as it was kinda pricey, but it made a great rental! I finished it in just a weekend so the campaign isn't super long. Once you finish the campaigh it's still an open world though so if you do buy it, there is plenty more to play after you beat the game.

Looks similar to Left4Dead 2 but completely overhauled. I'm into RPG's, action slashers and detective games but sometimes a shooter can be a nice change. I loved L4D2 but I don't think I'll afford Rage 2 anytime soon. I'd probably choose DMC5 over it because it looks great and I don't want to avoid spoilers forever. HALO and Metro series look interesting as well and I have a thing for Square games smile.gif

It's nice to see some folks are still committed to their Gaming habits haha
for me it's been a while since i played some of the new "real" game.
though my number one game is still: The elder scrolls v : Skyrim, Metal Gear Solid was one great game as i remember when it was launched on PS1.

what about mobile phone games ? do you play any ? a couple of years ago i was hooked to Clash of Clans

Now days I dont play any kind of game really. but i guess i will return in one way or another dry.gif

I rented Rage 2, I didn't buy it. We have these handy kiosks that give out games for a few dollars a day. So if a game is short, one can complete it in a weekend. They are called RED BOX, however, I don't know what game rental is like in the rest of the world? I would not have paid $60 for it, but it's worth a rental.

I know wads of folks who play on mobile platforms. It seems to be the future,. Expensive consoles seem to be losing ground to mobile for a variety of reasons including cost. I mostly game on PS4 though as rental games are easy to get.

I don't have a PS4, so I'm not sure about console rentals. I'm sure there's no rentals for PC in here. Though some folks put up their Steam account on auctions, offering to add you to the family program for some price. It's very cheap but you share it with everyone who buys it, so if there are many people you won't get to play the game unless you wait for it.

Steam sharing!! Good plan smile.gif Anything that gets the cost of games lower is a good thing IMHO. Games are VERY expensive and I would rather spend money on new gear than games. So I splurged several years ago on a PS4. I've been renting games ever since. I don't have a PC to play games on. I have a mac and it's not great for games. so for $300 I have a ps4. They have new versions but I'm not going to buy one. I'll keep this one forever. I don't game that often, but it's nice on the weekends to rent a game and get lost in it )

I didn't have a chance to play the game and I doubt I will anytime soon but I just saw the news that an incoming update will introduce New Game +. This added immense replay value to all the games I've played.

Here is about an hour of RAGE 2 game play showing various parts of the game. I rented it like all my other games, finished it in a weekend. Fun weekend smile.gif
