Hello everybody!! It's time for a new "Call and Response" collab!

As we've done in the past here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkXnWPdWka0&feature=emb_title

This time, Kris and me will be jamming with you!!


The idea is simple. Record yourself doing a quick/spontaneous jam over the backing track. Share the video, only guitar audio and audio mix. We'll record a Jams inspired by each participant take.


I'll provide two very short backings. You can jam over one or both of them:

The suggested scales are: E Pentatonic Minor, E Blues Scale, E minor Aeolian and if you are advanced you can also try a bit of Harmonic Minor. The backing is part of this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/25-Modern-Guitar-Players/

I've just had to wait for some new Monitor Speakers to be delivered as my old Numark M80's blew up this weekend!!!
I now have some Edirol MA-15D's. Not great but not bad, they'll do for a while at least!!

so.. An update rendered reaper to an earlier save thus erasing the work I had done .. Then four days later it fixed itself thus erasing the work I did after the update

I like that you respect each student's theme, it's very beneficial for us.

What do you think about that ?
Next Collab, Gab and Kris make a call to the students. We reverse the exercise.
The inspiration will come from your phrasing, I find this idea great and so rewarding
Of course, you will have to play at our level because we do not have your skills -
It's a good challenge for coach


Also, My track is not synchronised with BT,

Here is a preview of my take I toned it down to try for more of a jazzy vibe instead of my usual shred metal. I even took the red off of my fire engine red guitar

I used a reverse hammer on with open strings and traversed all the way down. We have been doing stuff like this in Quick Licks and I was inspired by Ken to try it in the solo. Also you may noticed a version of the lick from RED BARCHETTA by rush snuck in there

AWESOME job everyone!!!! GABE should get a medal for putting this together. It's a long bit of music and it always feels musical. It doesn't feel stitched together, it feels like one piece of music. I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you gabe for putting in the work to make this and all of these collabs sound amazing and work as a cogent piece of music, not just a string out of solos. I put one of these together a long time ago and it was the hardest thing I've ever done.
