Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi MisterM!

Great job man! I've found this one first at the mentoring program so I commented it there. Your playing is really good here, there is nothing really important to fix. You can give some extra attention to the faster licks near to the end, but nothing else.

Your tone, vibrato, bending and timing are top level. Congrats friend!!

Hi, I think you did a really good job of this piece, considering the fast passages in it.

Your tone, as always, is definitely good for the mood involved. Nice and clean. Your picking articulation is is getting better but the fast lines in this lesson mean that sometimes you lose a little clarity, with some quiet notes almost inaudible in some of the runs.

You have good control and taste, it's the quicker passages in lessons that test you to your limits. You'll naturally get better at this through exposing yourself (not in that way!) to more technically challenging licks - so lessons like this are a good choice for you.

Hey there!

It's definitely not a crush at all! smile.gif I do agree on how hard it is to establish a true level of blues lesson. Difficulty of blues playing is hidden somewhere else than the speed of playing itself.

You problem is you try to execute those fast runs as a kind of "shred licks" - even picking, even dynamics. In blues we have a lot of contrast in such a phrases. Most of notes happen quite soft while just a few are brought to the surface with a huge attack. That is also critical for right hand tension. Try to spot wchich notes in those phrases are actually the ones that need attack. Compare with original lesson video. You'll see once you assign proper dynamics, that it's not actually that hard to play at that speed smile.gif

That's basically all I can spot here. Well done!
