I've been more observant of my picking hand this time.

Cool!

To me it still looks like you have a bit of crosspicking going on (it seems to me your right hand is still bouncing slightly, ie going from the pickguard up).

As mentioned I see absolutely no downsides with this, since you have no problem playing high tempos. Crosspicking is a much more flexible and better sounding technique.

I can spot a little bit of hesitation as you go form alternate picking ot sweeping at 00:14 - for a split second you loose the cool rhythmic feel you had going.

At 00:35 you had the opportunity to let a sustain note lift the whole etude (we have had a lot of notes up to this point..!) - but you did not really emphasize it like Ian did.

Overall I think your technique is extremely promising, and some smaller tweaks excepted, the only improvement I can think of for this lesson is for you improve your recording chops.

Well done you get an 8 from me!

NICE!!!!!!! This is NOT an easy bit of music. You manage to make it look pretty easy though which is impressive. You've got very solid technique, including a good palm mute, which is key for something like this. Otherwise, it's string noise everywhere. Very solid picking as well. Didn't see any "Picking from the Elbow" which is a Cardinal sin imho. Well played, not rushing or lagging, not timid or shy, just solid musicianship. Well done.
I must say I'd love to have you in SHRED BOOTCAMP!!! If you are up for adding that to your practice routine, just shoot me a Personal Message here on GMC!!!
Solid 8 from me and I don't give out many 8s.
Todd

Hi friend!

Good playing here! Everything sounds tight, clean and clear here and it's a very tricky lesson! The only thing that I would like to see in the near future is your hands more relaxed while playing. At this point, this needs a lot of focus and concentration but the more you practice, the more comfortable you'll be with this techniques and passages.

I also think that improving the overall video (light and sound) could be a good idea and it doesn't mean that you need to do any investment.

Let me know if you need any assistance with it. Keep on the hard work!!

Hey there!

This is a hard combo of 2 impressive techniques. One demands discipline ion strength management and a solid practise. Second one demands right motion and sort of smoothness to it. I think you do your job really well. Very little moments that couls ask for complaints are actually quite subjective. I really enjoy to listen how smooth you go with it. Well done!
