So I think I sort of figured out a problem with my favorite guitar, I woultd have trouble doing sweeps especially on higher frets, I though maybe the frets were too small but a friend mentioned that the action was really and he couldnt play on it..... Effin thats what was messing with me!

So I lowered the strings and VOILA sweeping like Muhammed Suicimez (not quite tongue.gif) but now my strings feel a little spaghettish. I tune down to DGCFAD and use 11-48s anything that can be done or am I just used to breaking fingers to bend?

If its just what Im used to then I can get over it quickly but if I should be using bigger strings I'd like to know...

But yeah thank God I didn't have any annoying spring/floating trem issues like I thought

For me, when I used too tune the same guitar down and up all the time, it would take awhile too adjust. After a few hours the strings seemed too adapt too their current tuning and played perfectly (unless it was actually a problem such as the flloyd not being parallel too the body).

I tune down too CGCFAD and use 9,11,16,26,36,46 on one of my guitars, never had a problem with it.

After all that be sure to check the intonation and the truss rod because that kind of changes could requier a calibration.

When checking intonation, I'm pretty sure I only checked one string. Should I check the rest of em or if one is right does that mean the rest are. I'd check it now anyway but I'm rather sick today and not in any mood to even touch a guitar O.o

Every string should be checked for intonation man. Try them all on 0 and 12 fret, they should be in tune. For details here's a tuning tutorial. Cheers smile.gif
