Hi, Cosmin.
I think I am not far from my goal))
You impress me always.
How an easy lesson from the first look can be very difficult and developing.

This is my Sunday attempt.
It's not ready yet.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0vo5ve9wu3gnejg/Legato%205.mp3

I play in a slow temp (70-75) many times and in the end of my training I record.

After your exercises I feel how my fingers become faster.
It's just a few steps and I will start to play solo.

Hey man! Progress - yes it's happening biggrin.gif

Your playing emanates much more confidence and strength! As a general observation - focus on the position shifts and make sure each last note in each group is clearly heard and each first note from the next position is played in good timing wink.gif

That's all you need to take care of to finish this one!

Amazing! I am a big fab of Breaking Benjamin! biggrin.gif Can't wait for the recording!

About the recording - Much better! You are on time with this one! Now, the only thing that remains, is for you to play the last 16th note in each group before the hand position shifts. When you shift you have the tendency of omitting the last 16th note in a lot of cases.

After this, I think you can put it in the REC zone!

I just came home from my office. It's too late but I did not want to wait tomorrow and recorded a raw video.
I don't know how to tune effects for playing in a clean tone.(
I got a G-Major 2 system to try what this is a thing just today.
I think I need a time to find out this.
But there is :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6vayugw2junzsr5/B...amin-Breath.mp4

I decided to make my BB video.
But I saw your lesson "the voice of your guitar" by accident.
It is so wonderful it's like I hear your heart.
I have no words.
My heart almost jumped out.
It's Great lesson!!!
It is very impressive and inspiring.
I could not don't try.
Yes, my performance is not good, there are many mistakes.
I will correct everything.

Thank you,Cosmin.
Things like this make the world beautiful and happy.

Hey mate!

This is very nice as usual! I think you have a very good talent at this and it's clear that you are a fan of this kind of music, as I am smile.gif Now, if you would find a backing track of this song, having only bass and drums and vocals, would you be up to the challenge of taking care of all the guitar work? About the clean tones - I haven't had the opportunity to work with a G major 2 system, but you need to try and learn how to tweak it .. Reading the manual would be a good place to start and then trying to use the settings to imitate your favorite clean tone smile.gif

Thank you for your kind words on 'The voice..' but, I tried to download the recording and it's not there smile.gif Can you please upload it again?

Hi, Cosmin.
I did not think about a talent.
But thank you.
I just do what I like, work hard and listen to you.
It was my dream to play the guitar from my childhood.
And you help me to make it, to make my dream true.

I uploaded the file again

https://www.dropbox.com/s/izk5b2emxdolndo/t...0guitar%202.m4a

I recorded new BB as you say (only my guitar)
But next weekend I will correct it.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/gm4za6hj4bhfs3z/B...-Breath%202.m4a

I would like to tell you more.
I meet many people who teach people to play the guitar in Russia.
They ask me sometimes to advice them how to teach, how to find students.
They think that I am a good manager and can help them.
I have only one answer- be like Cosmin: a very nice man and a super guitarist with a great soul.

Thank you for brightening up my day man smile.gif Really, you have no clue how much these thoughts mean to me..

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I think you did a great job with the Breakin Benjamin song! Why not make a video biggrin.gif There are slight moments in which the guitar sounds a bit out of tune, but everything else is really nice! It's obvious you like it biggrin.gif

The Voice smile.gif Well, you are on the good way - you learned the structure, but now, you must focus on two important aspects: timing and correct pitches when bending! Deal? Try to record against the original take to make sure you nail them all biggrin.gif

Keep rocking mate!

Cosmin

Hi,Cosmin.
There is Saturday finally and I can spend all weekend for playing the guitar.
Today I recorded two lessons:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vxi0vlxwjfuxc4r/t...0guitar%203.m4a

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2b1sjedg2ql4vo9/Bullet%202.m4a

And I am going to spend all Sunday to correct mistakes.
I know bends and vibrato are very important but they are hard for me.
I suppose these technics make guitar more life-full (or live) and nice

Indeed man! Bending and vibrato are some of the most important techniques for a guitarist! They are a big, big part of your voice, so to say smile.gif

I think you did a good job on the Bullet lesson - around 0:38 there was a slight timing problem, otherwise, it's pretty solid man! You are growing!!

Regarding the voice - there are a lot of phrasing elements which need your focus - I totally suggest you to try and record against my take, in order to make sure you nail every little detail smile.gif Deal?

Hi,Cosmin.

I am working on the "the voice" lesson.
As usual I will record on the weekend.
Today I saw one technic on youtube and I would like to ask you about this technic.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/d1l6israi3u9jbb/%...%2016.28.02.png

Why does he play this way?

wink.gif

I always forget to ask you.
I noticed that you like PRS guitar.
I sold my Horizon and decided to spent a serious money and buy PRS.
Unfortunately In Russia it's impossible to test PRS we have no PRS in our shops.
There are some reasons why I decided to buy PRS:
- PRS is very beautiful
- BB,Alter Bridge and you play on PRS and I like their sound.

So I would like to ask your opinion about models.
I am thinking about McCartty,Mark Tremonti.
I don't know the difference between them.
I suppose that Tremonti is like Les Paul and I would not like to buy the guitar with the sound like LP.
Well, my mind is exploring ..
wink.gif

Hey matey! biggrin.gif It's flashy looking technique made popular by Steve Va and Joe Satriani - it actually mutes the strings so that you can play legato with the left hand without worrying about the unwanted sounds that the open strings would make, if they would not be blocked by the grip of the right hand. They would ring free and make a lot of noise biggrin.gif

Well, yeah man, I love PRS guitars and this month I actually became an endorser for them: http://www.prsguitars.com/artists/profile/cosmin_lupu tongue.gif After almost 4 years of waiting, it finally happened!

I will have to make a Tremonti and a Santana demo next month so I can tell you more about them. What sort of a budget do you have in mind? I can make a recommendation based on that wink.gif

Hi,Cosmin.
Congrats!!!
I think PRS should be proud that you are their endor.
About me.
I don't like LP forms.
I am thinking about McCartty model.
But I do dot know the difference between McCartty and McCartty 58.
Some of my friends advise my Mark Tremonti.
I don't know, is the sond difference Mark Tremonti and McCartty 58.

Thank you man!

I frankly like the Tremonti SE very much - it is a solid axe. Fixed bridge and really good for low tunings. I will try the other two Tremonti models - the Expensive one biggrin.gif and the SE with tremolo. As for the McCarty - I have NEVER put my hands on that one... so I can't really say.. I'll see if I can get one and try it out, k? smile.gif

How's practicing?
